About Us

  • History:

    Business Furnishings was established in June of 1996 and continues to be a thriving business today. In 1997, we moved into our current building from our original office and warehouse. That move took us from 2,500 square feet of total space (including office and warehouse) to 10,000 square feet, of which 2,500 square feet was office. Since then, we have doubled the size of our facility to 20,000 square feet during an office and warehouse expansion in 2007. The newly renovated office space today operates as our state of the art showroom and staff work area. We currently serve Northern Indiana from Merrillville to Ft. Wayne and South Western Michigan. In 2007, we also created our Audio Visual Division, which has expanded our reach to provide service to clients as far away as Colorado.

    We have extensive experience in a variety of complex Corporate, Law offices and Healthcare projects that included programming furniture, space planning, move management, and most importantly, service after the project is completed.

    Our commitment to service to our clients helped us to grow through the current economically challenging period. As our customers budgets became more modest, we helped them to maximize their environment and make every dollar count. Our team worked even harder to come up with creative solutions that met their needs and their budget. By adding this value to our customers, we were able to play a key role in making them successful and have earned their trust and continued business.

  • Organization Structure:

    Business Furnishings LLC is a Limited Liability Corporation with Mike McGann and Mark Macheca as the sole and equal shareholders. The current structure was put in place in January of 2001 when Mike and Mark purchased Business Furniture Corporation of Indianapolis’ interest in Business Furnishings. Mark is responsible for Sales and Marketing along with direct customer sales duties and Mike is responsible for operations and financial duties with direct customer contact as well. We also have a sole-source partnership with Advantage Installation, who handles scheduling and installation of our products.
